A portion of FightGirl's sales go to various women's organizations from breast cancer screenings to domestic violence shelters.

Kristie Brown, Founder of FightGirl created the concept for FightGirl to fill a need for a lack of clothing for women in the extreme sporting world. However, there was a deeper meaning to the FightGirl idea that Brown had kept secret... Brown had been in an abusive relationship, was struggling with the "right thing to do" and after deciding she was no longer going to stay in that relationship, nor subject her children to that type of situation, ever again, she decided to focus on her brainchild - FightGirl. Not only had she endured abuse in this dating relationship, but grew up in a home where alcoholism and emotional/physical abuse occurred frequently. She witnessed her mother being physically and verbally abused by her step-father, as well as, going through it herself as a teen who felt "lost and alone." With the mindset that she could help or inspire others, and to let them know that they do not have to feel "lost, alone, or helpless," that there is always someone there to help, listen, and lend a caring heart, FightGirl evolved.
FightGirl was developed to empower, give hope, inspire, and motivate girls and women to "fight" for their dreams and aspire to be who they want to be; to teach, that in each of us, their is a "fighter", and that anything is possible if you dream big, set goals, and work hard!
In March 2007, the sporting world of mixed martial arts quickly picked up FightGirl clothing, however Brown wanted to do something more to support and empower women all over the world. So, she decided that instead of just focusing on one particular sport or group that she would expand to include all women's sports and other groups (because every woman has a "FightGirl" in her) and help organizations that directly contribute to causes for women.
FightGirl's Mission is to educate, to give hope, motivate, support and promote women and teens to succeed in life, follow their dreams, and achieve their goals. Our goal is to support various organizations for women and we think if we can inspire and change one person's life then we have accomplished more than we could have hoped for... NEVER GIVE UP WITHOUT A FIGHT!
